The Finca Mas de Llucia represents a natural environment located in the Matarraña region, at the foot of the river Tastavins. In more than five hectares of the same, our vineyards are planted, certified in ecological, where we can find grape varieties native to the area: white Garnacha, Macabeo, Cariñena and Garnacha ink. Inside our plots we can find vineyards of more than 50 years.
In the Matarraña region there was a great wine culture, but the price of grapes was too low for farmers to obtain profits. In the years 90, most of the vineyards in the area were uprooted, replaced by other crops such as olive or almond trees.
Today, wineries of the Comarca seek to recover that lost culture, returning the value to the grape and rescuing very old abandoned vines. We could not help but join in that end.
It is our duty to preserve our environment, respecting and protecting the environment through: The responsible use of energy and the way of obtaining, using photovoltaic solar panels. We collect rainwater intended for irrigation from our organic certified vines and fertilize them with compost made from pruning remains, grape skins and other organic waste.
